5 Things From the Week

{I still can’t quite believe I am going to live here}

This week has been a life changing one for me. Early on Wednesday morning I interviewed for a job in Abu Dhabi and by Friday I had signed the contract. Within a few short weeks I am going to pick up my entire life and move half way across the world. For the most part I am incredibly excited for all the awesome opportunities that are going to come my way but it is only natural when I have my little freak out moments and I wonder what I am doing. In these moments all I can think about is how insane it is to move so far away and leave my home, family and friends behind. But then I always remember that good old saying “If your dreams don’t scare you then they aren’t big enough”. It is safe to say that the next year is going to be a massive roller coaster of new experiences for me and I only hope that all my lovely, supportive new readers will come along with me for the journey!

Now onto my five things!

1) Christian Louboutin’s “The World’s Most Expensive Shoes” documentary on Channel 4

Every woman in the world wants a pair of Louboutin’s and I am no exception! This is Christian’s first ever authorized documentary and he allowed Channel 4 to follow him for a year. It is a must see for anyone and not just those who are interested in fashion because Christian is a fascinating character that keeps the viewer engaged throughout. I actually wish that there had been more than just the one show because I feel he has such an extensive story that the surface has barely been scratched. But for now this will do and you catch it on All 4 online.

2) We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

This book is not just your normal, summer holiday filled romance. No; it is written far too well for that. It contains lines that will become infamous in times to come and will be parroted around like people do today with Hemingway, Dickens and Co.  I just did not see that plot twist coming! All I can say is READ IT! It is also rumored that this is being turned into a movie and I am really hoping this will happen.

3) An article that makes everything ok!

In a little break from my usual Elite Daily reference I have decided to use Buzzfeed this week! Buzzfeed nailed it on the head in this article! I am 22 and do not have a notion as to what I want to do! But I am slowly starting to realise that that is ok and as long as I am happy doing what I am doing right now then everything else will fall into place. A prime example of true contentment and happiness for me is shown in the picture above when me and my girls chilled in Central Park while we were travelling the East Coast of America. That day was utter bliss. Honestly girls this one is a great read if you are in a similar mind frame as I am right now! As the author of this article said, seriously girls we got this!

4) Hummus Crusted Baked Chicken

Another glorious thing is the Buzzfeed food newsletter. I am beyond intrigued about this recipe. I think I am going to be overly ambitious tomorrow and make my own hummus and then this recipe for dinner. If it goes well I will do a blog post if not then you know what happened! The recipe is via Sweet Little Kitchen.

5) Favourite Hairstyle

I am able to fishtail but french braiding is just lost on me! My fishtail always falls out too! If only a little fairy could come and style my hair every morning!

As usual I hope that everyone has enjoyed this post and that you had a fabulous week,

Stayed tuned for more big adventures to come!

  1. I’ve been surfing on-line greater than three hours today,
    yet I by no means discovered any attention-grabbing article like yours.

    It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers
    made good content as you did, the net will likely be a lot more useful than ever before.
